Oh, The Thinks You Can Think!

Any thinker who thinks can come up with a few! Think a trip on a ship to the Vipper of Vip or to Solla Sollew!
As you may guess, those lines are from a song. Props to those who know which musical I just quoted. For those who may be slightly ignorant in the genre of musicals (all of you that are, you are still my friends) those lines were from Seussical the Musical. Yes, a musical based on the works of Dr. Seuss, how fantastical can it be? Quite actually. And yes, I have actually been listening to it quite a lot lately.
Yet, all oddness and talking elephants aside. This musical has quite the moral to it. Well, several morals actually.
First off, it teaches us that a person is a person no matter how small (or how about, no matter what they are like, whether fully formed or not, they are a person) and should be protected. Pretty straightforward, huh? Second, it teaches you that you must be content with who you are and to try to change who you are into something you really are not gives only sadness and grief and pain (I am referencing the story of Gertrude McFuzz, those who don't remember what that was, you should read it again). Third, no matter what, you will never be alone in the universe. Although you may feel that way, you're going to find that person that you share something deep and profound with that bonds you together. Fourth, never give up on someone, nor give up your love of others, and be willing to strive through thick and thin to save them. Finally, and I think this is most important/unique point of this musical, one should never ever give up their hopes, dreams, and imagination.
Too often do we quell our imaginations believing it to be childish and fanciful. Well, maybe it is, but also to lose your imagination is to lose an integral part of yourself. In our imagination, we can allow ideas and thoughts to soar and come into being. Sometimes, in our lives we need to have that place that we can go, not physically, but mentally and allow ourselves that place where we can make Snarguzzles who likes to make puzzles and spend their days eating crackers and hay. Where also a Manduddle and a Penlilliput too, come and dance everyday upon the grass blue.
For me, this nonsense keeps my spirits high and gives me the opportunity to view the world with a fantastical eye. Although I know my thinks cannot happen in real life, to have that place keeps me happy through strife.
So next time your down and not feeling good, start thinking about a fish in an ocean neighborhood. Make an adventure for you and your friend, and you'll feel much better by the time the story ends.
Don't give up your dreams, because without them you become simply a robot in life computing, moving, working, etc. Rather have those nonsensical ideas and places, and I think you will find that even everyday life becomes a little less serious and a little more Seussical.
So remember, Think a beautiful shlop, with a cherry on top! You don't need an excuse!
